The Gold has little output filtering for the best possible sound, electromagnetic shielding of all the key components and high performance, high slew rate operational amplifiers. Seven separate power supplies with gigantic filter capacitors provide isolation between each DAC and the analog portion of the product.
The GOLD is supplied with a simple desktop supply but can be optimized with the MSB P9000 High Performance Power Supply. This monstrous supply has separate toroidal transformers for each supply voltage with all the usual compliment of filtering and protection.
This, like most MSB product, is upgradable for future digital formats. As copy protection, and a plethora of new DVD audio formats are being proposed, the GOLD offers an upgrade header that allows a new decoding card to be developed for each new format when it emerges.
